NY Magazine does a brief history of glitter.
This timeline includes the date 1934 when “Machinist Henry Ruschmann of Bernardsville, New Jersey invents a way to grind up plastics to make large quantities of glitter”.
He founds Medowbrook Inventions which is still the world’s largest glitter producer.
I would like to learn how to make glitter myself.
