Is it me or do bands nowadays have no sense of visual continuity from one album to the next? Their identity changes with each new product. Wouldn’t it make more sense to have the artist or band establish their feel or have a logo that doesn’t change and then design the products from there out?  For all the talk of branding, it seems a little disjointed that every time there is a new album all the webpages and social networking sites are completely redone.  Is that just because they want to have something to talk about? “Hey check out our new website!” or just from being so focused on the here-and-now that things only change when they have something to sell.  There’s nothing more disheartning then to visit the band’s website and realize it was all designed from their last album 2 years ago.
