Funny, I was just reminded of someone belly-aching about writing about music. Writing about music only works when the reader and the writer have the same or a similar frame of reference in the meaning. When I say classical guitar, I mean classical guitar, what people learn when they go to music school to study the instrument. Other people might think I mean classic rock guitar or something else totally wrong. I think writing about music works but only when there’s that shared experience people can understand references from.
