Songs used during various designer’s runway presentation? I am mezmerized. My favorite is Carlos Miele who had Seu Jorge play live. Ever since Karl Lagerfeld’s Les Musiques que J’aime (My Favorite Songs), I’ve been completely enthralled with the musical selections from another highly creative industry. Music and fashion just seems to go hand in hand and inspire each other quite beautifully. The visual and the aural, married.

German coffee Cake
by Mom Buchert a la grandmother
- 2 cups self rising flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teasoon salt (optional)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix ingredients and spread in 7 X11 pan. Sprinkle with however much sugar and cinamon mixture you’d like. Cut thin slivers of butter and push into topping (warning, sticky!) and dot more butter all over top. Bake for 20 minutes or until you insert a toothpick in the middle and it comes out clean.

Indie music distributor IODA sees layoffs
In case you don’t follow me on twitter, you’d have no idea what’s been up with my life the last 2 1/2 weeks! Well this is it. In a nutshell. My position was axed.
I deposited my severance check last night and officially my health insurance was terminated today. Brutal. At any rate, this was a long needed and overdue change. I’ve got some really exciting potential new jobs. I’ll keep you posted!
